History
We have provided a brief presentation of Troy's place in history, along with an outline of the region's development from pre-historic times. Troy was at its first developmental peak during the initial exploration of the region, as the northern most navigable point on the Hudson River. Troy's second developmental peak occurred at the opening of the Industrial Revolution, as one of its founding members. During the past decade Troy has begun ascending towards a new developmental peak as a center for education, technological advancement and small business development.
