My apologies for not printing the results of the Council meeting held on December
5, 1996. in the January Newsletter. I could not attend the meeting due to the impending
birth of our son Adam on December 6, 1996. The meeting agenda was filled with over
100 certiorari proceedings; some of which the council approved and others which
were tabled. As of January 21 the City clerk's office was still sorting through
the results to issue the meeting minutes.

- Ordinance ammending the 1996 Budget for the City of Troy and appropriating the said amount as ammended. (DeBonis)

Resolutions
- Resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a contract for the retention of expert services related to the administration and analysis of the City's health insurance program. (Walsh)
- Resolution authorizing the adoption of a deferred compensation plan for eligible City employees and for the administration and the implimentation thereof. (Walsh)

It is disturbing to me to see the large number of these proceedings being voted on by the council.. It seems that there is an inequity problem which needs to be addressed on a more global scale...not adjustments done individually at the owners request.
