Free Trees Available! Apply Now! Capital District Community Gardens is accepting applications from Troy residents interested in having a street tree planted at their home or business this Spring. The trees and the planting are free of charge to residents living in eligible areas of the City. Community Gardens and the Troy Street Tree Advisory Committee have organized a Spring Tree Planting for the past 9 years, resulting in the planting of hundreds of trees throughout the streets of Troy. This year's planting will take place on Thursday, April 30th with volunteers from the Emma Willard School, Troy High and other schools, businesses and organizations participating.
