We could build a 12 foot high wall from Los Angeles to New York with all the writing paper we throw out each year.

Every two weeks, we throw out enough glass bottles and jars to fill New York's World Trade Towers.

With the aluminum we throw away in three months, the United States could rebuild all the airplanes in the U.S. NYS DEC 1993 Where are we today?!

"The Pauper" takes place in ancient London in 1540 when two children are born on the same day. Edward was born to the family of king Henry VII; Tom was horn to the family of Tom Canty, a thieving pauper Edward, spoiled and selfish, has a life of unbridled privilege. in which every wish is fulfilled - except to be allowed to play with boys of his age. Tom's only wish is to better himself and escape the life he is leading begging in the streets for his father

One day, by a stroke of fate, the boys meet and Tom is invited to Edward's chambers, On a whim, they exchange clothes. and from that moment their lives are forever altered. Edward, ejected from the castle. is subjected to Tom's wretched existence. and learns about the cruel lives his subjects lead. Tom, on the other hand, unable to convince the court of his real identity, plays along as the young heir apparent. learning all he can from those who are their to serve him - but dreading the day when he will be named King.

After their long adventure each boy finds his proper place: Edward learns that greatness lies not in the nobility of his birth but the nobility of character. Tom whose goodness and fairness have made him beloved by the people learns that his worth is determined not by his lowly birth, but by fulfilling his potential. It is a great day in the kingdom when Edward becomes king, and Tom his trusted advisor.

USA was recognized by New York's theatre community with the prestigious Drama Desk Award for "35 years of providing quality entertainment to children," and the Lucille Lortel Award for "Outstanding Special Achievement
