November is coming with only a few offices to vote for, so turnout
is predicted to be low. During this time, many community fund-raisers
and dinners are typically scheduled to allow handshaking candidates to
mingle with their constituents and to raise funds for their church group
or organization. Below is a list of some of the events that are held in
our community a week before Election Day.
- Thursday before election-St. Peter's Spaghetti Lunch & Supper
- Friday before election-Independent Living Center at the Sunset has a dessert and coffee fund-raiser.
- Sunday before election-Lansingburgh Boys & Girls Club Harvest Brunch
- Monday night before election-Berith Sholom Dinner and St. Mary's spaghetti lunch and dinner.
- Election Day-Polish American Club Spaghetti lunch and dinner and the Fifth Avenue AME Zion Church has a chicken and ribs lunch and dinner.
