Southern Lansingburgh Neighborhood Association

Mary Hall, Education Coordinator for the Community Dispute Settlement Program, a project sponsored by the Troy Area United Ministries, will be the guest speaker at the December meeting of the Southern Lansingburgh Neighborhood Association. Ms. Hall will discuss mediation for tenant-landlord disputes, neighbor-neighbor and husband-wife disputes. The meeting is Sunday, December 6 at 7pm at the Capital Christian Church, 101st Street and Fifth Avenue.

The neighborhood association includes the area from 101st to 104th Streets and Second Avenue to Ninth Avenue. Bob LaChance, president of the association, states that the group's purpose is to maintain and improve the quality of life for residents in the area and meets monthly on the first Sunday of every month at 7 p.m. at the Capital Christian Church. Past meetings have included panel discussions by Mayor Pattison, Deputy Mayor Jim Conroy and Public Safety Commissioner Mark Whitman. Guests have also included Bob Mirch, Council members Christine Stone and William Pascarell and representatives from the Community Police. Future meetings include programs on home security, animal control, Earth Day clean-up, and first time home ownership. All interested residents are welcome.
