1st Baptist Church - Light the Steeple Fund Raiser" 82 Third Street, Troy - 235-1558 A Rummage Sale will be held in Whitman Fellowship Hall on Saturday, March 20 from 10 am to 4 PM. Many items are available for children, adults, babies and households. There will be a DOLLAR bag sale starting at 1 PM for everything in the room except for the special item area. The "MUSTARD SEED CAFE" will be open for sandwiches, desert and drink between 11:30 am and 1:30 PM. This fund is being used to purchase light bulbs, and to begin the process for a more efficient means of lighting the steeple. The steeple has long been a focal point to let travelers know they were approaching Troy, especially those traveling on boats on the Hudson River, and can be seen from many vantage points in the area.
