Don Miller, American Red Cross Emergency Services

What kinds of things could happen as a result of Y2K problems? Don Miller will discuss potential effects and some simple steps you can take to prepare for possible disruptions. Handouts will include a Y2K checklist with good sense recommendations, regardless of the potential problem.

This overview will cover what the Internet is, how you can get connected to it, how you navigate it, and ways to search for information on a particular topic. This program is for those who already have a basic familiarity with computers and would like to learn the basics of the Internet. (This program will be repeated on Friday, October 8 at 11 a.m. at the Lansingburgh Branch of the library.)
