The Junior Museum has announced its line-up of events for
November. These events are part of a new monthly series that will preview
programs to be offered in the new Junior Museum. The new museum is scheduled
to open next year in the historic Winslow Building on 8th St. in downtown
Troy. These new programs will be offered every weekend to provide in-depth
experiences that utilize the museum’s collections and the expertise of its
staff. As part of this new format, Family Fun activities, which are included
in the regular cost of admission every Saturday and Sunday, have been
tailored to enhance these new programs.
The new workshops cost $5 per person and include admission to the museum.
Reservations are requested, but if space allows, children may sign up the
day of the event. Weekend Family Fun Activities and Story Time are included
in the regular cost of admission, $4 per person.
Admission is $3 per person during the week, $4 per person on weekends,
holidays, and during school breaks. Children under age two and Museum
members are admitted free. The Junior Museum, located at 282 Fifth Ave.,
Troy, is open to the public Wednesday through Sunday, noon to 5pm. For more
information on Junior Museum programs or to make reservations, please call
(518) 235-2120.
