Computer Classes at Troy Public Library
274-7071Troy Public Library announces a new schedule of computer classes beginning Monday, February 28 at the Main Library at 100 Second Street in downtown Troy. These popular classes are free and open to the public, but class size is limited and registration is required. Three different classes are being offered, and you may design your own computer course by signing up for each session individually.
Introduction to Computers covers basics such as using a mouse, operation of computer components, running programs, and storing information. Classes are held February 28, March 1, 3, 27, 29, or 31 from 2-4 pm.
Word Processing and More! is an introduction to the many uses of computers including word processing (using Microsoft Word), other applications, and printing. Classes are held March 6. 8, 1 0, Apri 3, 5, or 7 from 2-4 p.m.
Introduction to the Internet covers searching the Internet with a web browser, using electronic mail, and setting up a free e-mail account. Classes are held March 13, 15, 17, Apri 10, 12, or 14 from 2-4 p.m.
Sign up for each session individually. Each session includes one hour of instruction followed by optional time for practice and individual questions. You may repeat a session if space permits. Sessions are scheduled to meet on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 2-4 p.m.
